Pervez Hoodbhoy, a leading Pakistani intellectual, is known for his liberal views, opposition to nuclear weapons, and support for secularism and science. He taught physics at Quaid-e-Azam University (1973–2020) and also at FCCU and LUMS.
He now promotes science, art, and culture through The Black Hole in Islamabad and continues advocating for secularism, scientific literacy, and human rights through his writings and public talks.
Hoodbhoy’s research spans nuclear physics, QCD, and particle phenomenology, including proton spin and ADS/CFT applications. He has held positions at QAU, LUMS, FCCU, and several international universities, and is currently an adjunct professor of physics at the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
